DRC 1.5 Release

I can't believe it's been almost 1 year since the last major DRC Custom Outfitters update! Massive apologies to all that were awaiting a speedy and very neccesary update. The .LCP is yet to be completed but in the spirit of updating...

...the DRC Custom Outfitters 1.5 update is live!

A large part of the past year (for those that have listened on Bring Your Own Mech) has been fine-tuning the exact vision of each mech in DRC-CO; many of the systems were inspired by the main catalogue of systems from GMS and the Big 4 and didn't feel unique enough without going overboard. Since then, I am pleased to report my satisfaction with the niche that each of the frames sits in!

A brief rundown of changes:

  • AL-FIHRI
    • The Al-Fihri remains largely unchanged, save for slight changes in wording of some systems and beefier traits to make it a more apt defender. The original Al-Fihri felt too much like a Vlad/Napoleon clone that couldn't do either job effectively; now it is a lot more mobile on the field and makes itself a much larger problem against hostiles in close proximity.
  • CURIE
    • The Curie has had some slight rewording in its traits, but otherwise has a much more clear action plan in it's Core Power (shoutout to the one person that made me realize VULNERABLE as it exists in D&D 5e doesn't exist in Lancer!) to take more hits in order to lay out the opposing force.
  • YASUI
    • A newcomer to the DRC Custom Outfitters line-up, the Yasui is a Size 3 movement and Drone based alternate Defender/Controller frame of the CURIE licenses, able to drag allies and spawn its flexible CYTOLOGIA drones from destroyed scraps.
  • FRANKLIN
    • The Franklin has had the most changes to it's kit, thanks to many hours of "playtesting" as part of the podcast. At the exchange of uneven fire power from it's old Heavy mount, the Franklin's new kit encourages strategic movement, Hiding, and is altogether much more durable and flexible.
  • LOVELACE
    • The Lovelace has been... difficult, to say the least. What began as an Overshield Support frame quickly spiraled into a broken mess of either completely making a joke of damage or not being able to do anything. The Lovelace has been temporarily removed from the DRC Custom Outfitters line-up in order to create a better realized vision of what it can do. In it's place...
  • SEACOLE
    • ...is another Size 1/2 frame! This Support/Striker is all about weaving through the battlefield and throwing Lock-On and Auxiliary weapons on hostiles like there is no tomorrow.

Another update will come adding the finished .LCP! For those that have paid for access and can't seem to download the new version,  simply send me a message and I will take care of it for you. See you all soon!
